Services Provided

Summitview Child & Family Services, Inc. is a private, nonprofit organization that provides a wide variety of mental health services that includes the following:

  • Outpatient/TBS/Wraparound Services
  • Residential Treatment (Youth/Adult/Commercially Sexually Exploited Youth)
  • Medi-Cal Rehabilitation
  • Mental Health Services
  • Nonpublic Special Education/Educationally Related Mental Health Services

Outpatient/TBS/Wraparound Services

Outpatient counseling and other specialized mental health services are provided to boys and girls living at home or in foster homes who may be struggling with a variety of interpersonal or behavioral issues. Wraparound and Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) emphasize independent living, are designed to help stabilize children who may be at risk for out of home placement.

Youth Residential Treatment

Twenty-four hour care and supervision are provided in one of four licensed, six-bed facilities for girls and boys. The girls residences have a Rate Classification Level (RCL) of 14, the most intensive offered in California. While the boys residences have a Rate Classification Level (RCL) of 12. Each house is fully staffed with experienced counselors, with an adult to client ratio of 1:2 during most peak awake hours. A variety of structured therapeutic and recreational activities are provided, and each client is provided with a clinician for individual therapy, family therapy, and case management. In addition, Summitview is licensed to provide AB12 services for non-minor dependents.

Adult Residential Treatment

Our adult residential facility provides 24 hour care for 6 adults with intensive mental health needs. Clients are referred through El Dorado County Public Guardian and Health and Human Services. The facility services 6 adults ages 19-59 and focuses on Independent Living Skills.

Commercially Sexually Exploited Youth (CSEY) Residential Treatment

Twenty-four hours care and supervision serving commercially sexually exploited youth in a 6 bed residential facility with an emphasis on empowerment, resiliency, and recovery through specialized trauma-formed care and equine therapy.

Medi-Cal Day Rehabilitation

Over four hours of mental health treatment are provided to clients receiving this service Monday through Friday. Psychiatric services are provided as well.

Nonpublic Special Education/Educationally Related Mental Health Services

Summitview Academy is certified by the California State Department of Education to provide individualized special education services. Placement into the nonpublic school is made by the referring school district through the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. The school provides a full curriculum of academics taught by fully credentialed special education teachers. Our small class sizes allow for individualized attention as needed.
